Knowing Your "Why"
Choices are powerful and knowing the reason behind the choices we make gives us greater power to stand by them. The technique of stopping to ask why you are choosing to do something and focusing on the reason instead of just the outcome of a decision can be extremely helpful on many levels.
It can help you recognize the values and motivation that have been influencing your life (and by recognizing them you have a greater ability to change them if you wish)
It helps you guard against shame, guilt, and anxiety we often bring upon ourselves by beating up on ourselves if things don't go the way we expected.
By following the paths of needs and motivations with the question "why" you can lead yourself into your own subconscious which can help you look at and then work with deep core wounds.
